University of Utah Academic Vice President's Office records 1942-1970 1964-1969

The duties of the Academic Vice President included supervision of deans of the various colleges, as well as oversight of academic offices and programs related to students. During the period covered by the bulk of these records, Jack Adamson (1963-1965), Alfred C. Emery (1965-1967), and Thomas C. King (1968-1969) served as Academic Vice President. In 1973 the office of Academic Vice President became part of the office of the Vice President for Academc Affairs as a result of a general administrative reorganization. This collection consists primarily of correspondence between the office of the Academic Vice President and the deans of colleges and the heads of academic departments and research institutes.
